Only registered training organisations with SafeWork approval can deliver asbestos removal, asbestos assessor or asbestos supervisor training in NSW. (Note: Asbestos licence applications will only be considered by SafeWork NSW if training has been undertaken with a SafeWork approved RTO.)

Asbestos Awareness Training (1/2 Day)
This asbestos awareness course is for personnel who may work around asbestos hazards or are required to remove small amounts of asbestos under 10m2 as part of their job role. This Asbestos Awareness Training is compliant with the mandatory training requirements as set out in the SafeWork NSW - How to Safely Remove Asbestos Code of Practice, providing attendees with sufficient information to be able to understand their legal requirements when planning, managing, resourcing and removing small amounts of asbestos containing materials (ACM).

Public Course Dates
Remove Non Friable (Bonded) Asbestos Training (2 Days)
Participants will have the opportunity to acquire all of the skills and knowledge that they require to safely remove non friable asbestos. They will also have to demonstrate their ability to apply these skills and knowledge in practical scenarios and exercises. Asbestos workers, including asbestos removal supervisors, who are carrying out licenced asbestos removal work, are required to successfully complete this unit of competency.
CTC Safety is approved by SafeWork NSW to deliver this national unit of competency. It can be used for SafeWork NSW Asbestos licencing and compliance purposes and is suitable for personnel who have not undertaken any asbestos removal training previously or need to renew their training.

Supervise Asbestos Removal Training (1 Day)
This is a one day asbestos removal supervision course that is approved by SafeWork NSW for asbestos licencing purposes and is suitable for personnel who are required to supervise the removal process for friable and non-friable asbestos containing material (ACM) and are required to be a nominated supervisor on a SafeWork NSW Class B asbestos removal licence.
The national unit of competency offered in this asbestos supervision course is:
- CPCCDE4008 - Supervise asbestos removal (formally CPCCBC4051A - Supervise asbestos removal)
