Confined Space Refresher - (1 Day)

This one day confined space refresher course is designed to refresh any confined space qualification. Public courses are held regulary at Sydney and on the Central Coast. 

National units of competency offered in this confined space refresher course are:

• RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces​  
• MSMPER205 - Enter confined space
• MSMWHS217 - Gas test atmospheres
• HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• WHSMS0068 - Sydney Water confined space entry procedure  (Supersedes Sydney Water HSP0001 Confined Space Safety Procedure)
• RIIRIS201E - Conduct local risk control
• MSMPER200 - Work in accordance with an issued permit
• RIIWHS201E - Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
• MSMPER202 - Observe permit work
• MSMWHS201 - Conduct hazard analysis
• MSMWHS216 - Operate breathing apparatus
• MSMPER300 - Issue work permits

​Confined Space Initial - Level 1 (1 Day) - from $195.00 GST Free

This one day confined space entry course is for individuals who are required to enter and work in confined spaces or are required to perform duties in a confined space as a confined space standby / spotter or a confined space gas tester. 

The national units of competency offered in this level one confined space course are:

• RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces
• MSMPER205 - Enter confined space
• MSMWHS217 - Gas test atmospheres
• Sydney Water confined space entry procedure - WHSMS0068 (supersedes Sydney Water - HSP0001 Confined Space Safety Procedure)

Course Dates

Confined Space Initial - Level 2 (2 Days) - from $425.00 GST Free

This two day confined space entry course is for individuals who may be required to enter high risk confined spaces and can perform any confined space entry team duties including permit issuer and rescuer.

National units of competency offered in this level two confined space course are:

Day 1

Choose one of the following units

• RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces 
• MSMPER205 - Enter confined space
• MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres

MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres is a compulsory unit if you wish to continue to day two.

You can also choose to do these optional units on day one.

• Sydney Water confined space entry procedure WHSMS0068 (supersedes Sydney Water HSP0001 Confined Space Safety Procedure)

Day 2

Optional - You can only complete three optional units and CPR on day two of the training

• MSMPER202 - Observe permit work
• HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• MSMPER300 - Issue work permits
• MSMWHS201 - Conduct hazard analysis
• MSMWHS216 - Operate breathing apparatus

Ausgrid Confined Space Initial - (1 1/2 Days)

This half day Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Course is for individuals that are required to operate and maintain self contained breathing apparatus in the workplace.

This half day Gas Test Atmospheres Course is for workers who are required to use personal gas detectors to monitor hazardous atmospheres.

Sydney Water Confined Space Entry Procedure (1.5 hrs)

This Sydney Water confined space entry procedure course is a detailed overview of Sydney Water confined space entry requirements and is aligned to Sydney Water Confined Space Entry Procedure WHSMS0068 (Supersedes Sydney Water HSP0001 Confined Space Safety Procedure). This is optional with all of our confined space training courses and will be required if you are entering any Sydney water confined space assets.

Confined Space Awareness - (1/2 Day) 

The course is an overview of the mandatory confined space regulations as set out in the Safe Work Australia Code of Practice - Working in Confined Spaces. The training provides attendees with sufficient information to be able to understand the minimum regulatory requirements when working in the vicinity of, planning for and resourcing confined space associated works. The training also assists the workforce in understanding the hazards and risks associated with entering confined spaces, while giving skills to identify confined spaces, helping to stop inadvertent entry into confined spaces.  

"This course is suitable for the general workforce, supervisors, managers and safety coordinators who work around confined spaces but are not required to enter confined spaces."

Successful participants will receive a Statement of Education and Training in Confined Space Awareness.
