1 to 2 Days dependent upon the learners experience and abilities. Courses start at 7.30am and are usually completed by 3.30pm. Lunch is provided to learners on full day courses held at the CTC Training Centres

This course has a variable course duration. A variable course duration means that the learner can complete the training at their own pace. 

There is a maximum of 20 students per session allowed in this course

This one day confined space refresher course is designed to refresh any confined space qualification. 

Confined Space Initial - Level 1 (1 Day)

This one day confined space entry course is for individuals who are required to enter and work in confined spaces or are required to perform duties in a confined space as a standby person or a gas tester. 

Confined Space Initial - Level 2 (2 Days)

This two day confined space entry course is for individuals who may be required to enter high risk confined spaces and can perform any confined space entry team duties including permit issuer and rescuer.

• Selection and use of relevant confined space PPE and safety equipment
• Confined space fire prevention and protection
• Confined space emergency response requirements
• Confined space entry planning and rehearsal requirements
• Confined space procedure and entry permit requirements
• ·Supervision of work in confined space
• Issue work permits

• Training PowerPoint presentation
• Formative and summative assessment tools
• Supporting documents and forms
• Records of training and assessment
• Personnel to complete the work and communicate with stakeholders
• Relevant company procedures and documents

• Participants require sufficient literacy and numeracy levels to read and interpret policies and procedures, safety data sheets, sample permits and regulator notification templates
• Participants will also need the physical ability to perform some strenuous activities in the practical exercises
• Participants under 18 years old need to provide a parent or guardians consent to undertake the training course. 

Attendees are required to wear suitable / high visability work clothes, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses and steel capped boots. If you can not bring your own PPE you may be able borrow some from CTC Safety.

Assessment may include written questionnaires, practical demonstrations, oral questioning and participation in group activities or teamwork exercises.

CTC Safety will award successful participants with a Statement of Attainment certificate and a wallet size plastic card. 

The training can also be delivered for a group at one of our training facilities or on your site or at your premises - Discounts may apply for group bookings! 

Note: To book onsite training you need to have suitable facilities including a training / induction room and access to a suitable practical area.
