Endeavour Energy ASP and Contractor Authorisation Training 

Minimum mandatory initial / refresher training requirements for all individuals who are required to work on, or near, Endeavour Energy's network (Including Excavation Authorisations).

  • *Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules (ESR)
  • HLTAID001 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • UETTDRRF06 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel
  • UETTDRRF01 - Apply ESI safety rules, codes of practice and procedures for work on or near electrical apparatus (Endeavour Energy Electrical Safety Rules Aligned)
  • UETTDRRF09 - Apply access procedures to work on or near electrical network infrastructure (Endeavour Energy Electrical Safety Rules Aligned)
  • UETTDRRF10 - Provide first aid in an ESI environment 

Optional mandatory initial / refresher training requirements for all individuals who are required to work in the vicinity of overhead mains.

  • UETTDRRF02 - Provide Pole Top Rescue - Mandatory if an individual is required to conduct or observe work in the vicinity of overhead mains from a ladder or pole
  • UETTDRRF03 - Perform EWP Rescue - Mandatory if an individual is required to conduct or observe work in the vicinity of overhead mains utilising an EWP
  • UETTDRRF08 - Provide EWP Controlled Decent Escape (CDD) - Mandatory if an individual is required to conduct work in the vicinity of overhead mains utilising an EWP
  • UETTDREL14 / UETTDREL16 - Working safely near live electrical apparatus - Mandatory if an individual is required to operate or observe crane and plant (Including an EWP) operating in the vicinity of overhead mains

Overhead Plant - Authorisation to Operate or Observe Plant Near Overhead Electrical Apparatus

Scope of activities covered by this authorisation:

  • Operate plant up to the safe approach distances provided in Table A - Safe Approach Distances for Authorised Persons and Instructed Persons, in the electrical safety rules handbook, whilst an authorised safety observer is in place; and 
  • Observe plant that is operated by an authorised operator up to the safe approach distances provided in Table A - Safe Approach Distances for Authorised Persons and Instructed Persons, in the electrical safety rules handbook

Scope of activities not covered by this authorisation function:

  • Cannot carry out or observe powered excavation work near the network

Pre-requisite requirements:

  • CPCCWHS1001 - Work safely in the construction industry (NSW White Card or equivalent)

Initial Training and ongoing Annual Refresher Assessment: 

  • UETTDREL14 - Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker
  • Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules (ESRs), which includes:
    • UETTDRRF01 - Apply ESI safety rules, codes of practice and procedures for work on or near electrical apparatus (Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules Aligned)
    • UETTDRRF09 - Apply access procedures to work on or near electrical network infrastructure (Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules Aligned)
  • UETTDRRF06- Perform rescue from a live LV panel

Scope of activities covered by this authorisation:

  • Observe powered excavation activities carried out by an authorised operator in accordance with the Electrical Safety Rules Handbook

Scope of activities not covered by this authorisation function:

  • Cannot carry out powered excavation work near the network
  • Cannot operate or observe plant near overhead electrical apparatus

Pre-requisite requirements:

  • CPCCWHS1001 - Work safely in the construction industry (NSW White Card or equivalent)

Specific training requirements:

  • RIICCM202E - Identify, locate and protect underground services

Initial Training and ongoing Annual Refresher Assessment: 

  • Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules (ESRs), which includes:
    • UETTDRRF01 - Apply ESI safety rules, codes of practice and procedures for work on or near electrical apparatus (Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules Aligned)
    • UETTDRRF09 - Apply access procedures to work on or near electrical network infrastructure (Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules Aligned)
  • UETTDRRF06 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel

Scope of activities covered by this authorisation:

  • Observe and carry out powered excavation activities carried out by an authorised operator in accordance with the Electrical Safety Rules Handbook

Scope of activities not covered by this authorisation function:

  • Cannot operate or observe plant near overhead electrical apparatus

Pre-requisite requirements:

  • CPCCWHS1001 - Work safely in the construction industry (NSW White Card or equivalent)

Specific training requirements:

  • RIICCM202E - Identify, locate and protect underground services

Additionally, in order to gain authorisation to carry out excavation near the network, a person must complete a practical Verification of Competency (VOC) by  CTC Safety in accordance to Endeavour Energy's Safety Rules 

  • FAM0061 Endeavour Energy Excavation VOC

Initial Training and ongoing Annual Refresher Assessment: 

  • Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules (ESRs), which includes:
    • UETTDRRF01 - Apply ESI safety rules, codes of practice and procedures for work on or near electrical apparatus (Endeavour Energy's Electrical Safety Rules Aligned)
