Is CTC Safety a Registered Training Organisation?
CTC Safety is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 7053) and provides Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) and Non-Accredited Training courses. All our instructors have qualifications in Training and Assessment and are highly experienced vocational trainers.
Where are your Training Centres located?
CTC Safety has four (4) Training Centres in New South Wales (NSW): Sydney Training Centre @ Emu Plains; Central Coast Training Centre @ Tuggerah; Newcastle Training Centre @ Beresfield; and Wollongong Training Centre @ Port Kembla. You can find more information about our locations here.
Can I do training at my site?
CTC Safety offers training on your site for group bookings, providing you have a suitable training area and appropriate practical facilities (if required). You can call us on 1300 386 263 or fill in the Inquiry Form to see if you are eligible.
What time does my class start?
Your class start time will vary, depending on the training you are undertaking. Your class start time will be on your emailed booking confirmation.
What time does my class finish?
Your class finish time will vary, depending on the training you are undertaking, how many units, and learner capabilities.
What should I wear on the day of the course?
Standard PPE must be worn by all students, including steel cap boots, safety hard hat, long pants, and high-vis long sleeve shirt (if you do not have one, you must wear a long sleeve shirt with a high-vis vest on top). Loan vests and hard hats are available at the Training Centres.
I cannot attend my course, what should I do?
You can cancel or transfer your course date at CTC if you cannot attend your training on the date you booked.
If the course is cancelled at least 5 business days before the course start date, you will be refunded the course fee. If you cancel within 5 days of the course start date, the course fee is non-refundable.
If you wish to transfer to another course date for the same course, you must advise us at least 3 business days before the course start date. If you do not provide notice of at least 3 full business days, you forfeit the full course fee.
What is a USI number and how can I get one?
The USI (Unique Student Identifier) number is your individual education number, which creates an online record of all your Australian training achievements. Visit the USI website for more information or to create your own USI.
When will I receive my certificate?
If you achieve satisfactory completion of your course your electronic certificate will be sent to you via e-mail within 5 business days of the day you completed the course. If you need your certificate earlier than 5 business days, please contact CTC Safety Administration to request this.
Can I do a course if I am under 18 years old?
Yes, all of our trainers have a NSW Working with Children Police Check and you can attend all our courses if you are under 18 years old, but you will need parent/guardian consent.
How often do I need to do a refresher course?
Each course is different, please contact our staff on 1300 386 263 in case you are unsure if you need to do a refresher course.
