This initial course provides Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and CPR training for new workers requiring competency in rescue from live LV panels and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It equips participants with life-saving skills for electrical environments.
Delivered by CTC Workplace Training (RTO 7053), using experienced trainers in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
Successful completion awards a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for selected units, including:
Face-to-face training with practical exercises conducted in simulated workplace scenarios.
Assessment may include written questionnaires, practical demonstrations (LV rescue kit use, CPR on manikins), oral questioning, and participation in simulated scenarios.
Half a day to 1 day depending on units required. Courses typically start at 11:45pm (full schedule details available).

Participants must wear hi-vis work clothing and steel-capped boots. Hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses can be borrowed from CTC Workplace Training if required.
Maximum of 20 participants per session for optimal hands-on learning.

Successful participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment under Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) for the completed units. These competencies support safe work in electrical environments requiring LV rescue and CPR skills (subject to employer and regulatory requirements).
