First Aid & CPR Training in NSW

CTC Safety delivers nationally recognised first aid training including CPR, basic emergency life support, and full Provide First Aid courses, compliant with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. Suitable for workplace, construction, education/childcare, ESI, and general community requirements. Australian Resuscitation Council recommends CPR refresher annually and First Aid every 3 years

Courses are delivered by qualified trainers experienced in real-world emergency response.

Public and group bookings are available at our training centres Sydney @ Emu Plains, Central Coast @ Tuggerah or Newcastle @ Beresfield. Onsite group bookings are also available for most of these courses NSW wide. (Discounts apply for group bookings).

Refresher Courses

Annual Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Express 2-hour refresher for renewing CPR competency, including AED use. Ideal for workplace, ESI, or childcare renewal requirements. ARC recommends annual refreshers.

Provide Basic Emergency Life Support Refresher
Refresher covering recognition and response to life-threatening emergencies with basic measures.

Provide First Aid Refresher
Half-day refresher for comprehensive first aid skills, including casualty management in various settings. ARC recommends refreshers are undertaken every 3 years.


Initial Courses

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Half-day initial CPR course for community and workplace responders, covering adult/infant CPR and AED use.

Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
Initial training in basic life support measures for emergencies using DRSABCD protocol.

Provide First Aid
Full-day initial course for comprehensive first aid response, including CPR, bleeding control, shock, fractures, and burns.


Units of Competency Available

The following nationally recognised units are delivered across our first aid courses:

  • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation: CPR unit aligned with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, covering emergency recognition, adult/infant CPR, AED use, and incident reporting – essential for annual workplace refreshers, ESI bundles, and standalone CPR courses in Sydney @ Emu Plains, Central Coast @ Tuggerah, and Newcastle @ Beresfield. Hands-on practicals, with manikins, AEDs and real-life scenarios.

  • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support: Unit for recognising and responding to life-threatening emergencies with basic measures, including DRSABCD protocol and casualty management – suitable for introductory first aid in community or workplace settings across NSW.

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid: Comprehensive unit for providing first aid response in various situations, covering casualty assessment, CPR, bleeding control, shock, fractures, burns, and incident reporting – core for full Provide First Aid initial and refresher courses in construction, education/childcare, or general industry.

All units are delivered under Nationally Recognised Training in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025.
