CTC Safety is accredited to deliver mandatory Overhead Power Line refresher training to Crane and Plant Operators and Observers. This course is the annual refresher course that is required to be completed by anyone working on or near Overhead Power Lines or Low Voltage Power or is a Safety Observer.

Course Duration
1 to 2 Days dependent upon the learners experience and abilities. Courses start at 7.30am and are usually completed by 3.30pm. Lunch is provided to learners on full day courses held at the CTC Training Centres

Description
CTC Safety is an Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy authorised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) approved to deliver Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy aligned initial pre requisite training to ASP1's, ASP2's and contractors.

Training Subjects & Practical Exercises
This electrical supply industry course is nationally accrdited and is aimed to give participants skills and knowledge to work on or around live electrical apparatus. Pre Entry Requirements
- Participants require sufficient literacy and numeracy levels to read and interpret policies and procedures, safety data sheets, sample permits and regulator notification templates
- Participants will also need the physical ability to perform some strenuous activities in the practical exercises
- Participants under 18 years old need to provide a parent or guardians consent to undertake the training course.
Dress Code
Attendees are required to wear suitable / high visability work clothes, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses and steel capped boots. If you can not bring your own PPE you may be able borrow some from CTC Safety.
Assessment
Assessment may include written questionnaires, practical demonstrations, oral questioning and participation in group activities or teamwork exercises.
Vocational Outcome
CTC Safety will award successful participants with a Statement of Attainment certificate and a wallet size plastic card.
